'Italian' Harpsichord                           by Andrew Wooderson 1996

This elegant and practical harpsichord in the Italian style was made by the distinguished maker Andew Wooderson in 1996. The keyboard is adjustable for a pitch of A440 or A415.  No ivory on this one!

Traditional stand.

The soundboard grain is at an angle to the spine, as was often the practice in Italy.  We  note the traditional style wrestpins and beautifuly made wooden jacks.

It is single strung, giving the advatages of a pure, clear tone, ideal for accompanying recorders or the human voice, as well as simple tuning and maintenance.

It comes with a robust purpose-made travelling cover.
