Harpsichord by Michael Johnson 1997
One Owner from New - This beautiful harpsichord in the French style was commissioned from the leading maker Michael Johnson in 1997. It has been cherished and maintained continuously since then, and was tuned as recently as August this year.
It has the expected three registers 8' 8' 4' + buff with a shove coupler, and benefits from Michael's beautifully made wooden jacks. We have confirmed by tests and documentation that the sharp-tops are casein, in accordance with his practice at that time. The compass is FF - g3, omitting g3#.
There is a minor cosmetic blemish on the underside of the corner of the lid
