Fretted Clavichord                                   by John Horniblow 1972

This compact short-octave (C/E - c''') clavichord was made by John Horniblow in 1972, with revisions by Martin Robertson (1982), Karin Richter (2011) , and Peter Bavington (2012).  Strung with Malcolm Rose brass wire at A=440.  Beautifully-made and sweetly-toned. 

Custom-made stand with turned legs.  Arcaded keyfronts, toolbox.
