The early Clementi pianos are always popular. When carefully restored, with their responsive escapement action and light 'Irish' dampers, they are a delight to play. This attractive example was made in about 1805.
The keyboard and nameboard are in good condition. The beautiful individually painted flower designs are a special feature of early Clementis; this one is the comparatively rare Morning Glory design.
The French stand appears to be in good codition, with all four casters. Good to see that the pedal is present.
A few broken strings to be replaced, and some adjustment to the hammers is needed.
This piano is in storage in Oxford, but the seller will be happy to arrange a viewing appointment.
The price is £300; Ivory registration code SYE4WH2X. Please contact Roland Ennos ennosroland@gmail.com
