This elegant piano is an early example by Thomas Tomkison, later to be the Royal Maker to George, Prince of Wales, later to be Prince Regent and King George IV.
No mention yet of the Royal connection on this early example.
This piano was fully restored by David Hunt in 1997; Cesar Hernandez has recently re-strung it with Malcolm Rose wire and replaced the damper-springs.
It is in excellent playing order, and is maintained at A415. It is regularly used for playing pieces by Josef Haydn - the owner's favourite composer. Sadly, he now needs to 'downsize', and must part with it.
