Harpsichord by Miles Hellon 1977      after Dulcken 1745

This harpsichord was made by Miles Hellon in 1977, a copy of the 1745 original in the Smithsonian Institute. 

It is constructed with the double bentside system as used on the original instrument  (See Kottick, pp. 286 - 7).

Five octaves FF - f. Dimensions 260 cm long x 98 cm wide. Stand dismantles for transport, cover included.

2 x 8', 1 x4', plus lute register.  Lute stop can be dialogued with 8' on lower manual.

Recently renovated by the maker with turkey quill plectra. Tuning key and spare quills included.  Pitch currently A440.

The owner assures us that the sharps and keyfronts are not ivory.  The harpsichord is in Biggleswade. Bedfordshire, viewing welcome. The price is £10,000
