This Clementi, A-number 13031 dates from 1820. The gold name-cartouche is in unusually beautiful condition.
The restoration work needs to be completed, but there is promise of a very good outcome. It's good to see that the green shade with gold leaf decoration has survived.
Some attention is required to the strings, but many appear to be serviceable. Chart N° 76 in Malcolm Rose's book would be a guide.
Sondboard, bridge, and hitchpins look good. There is one open joint in the soundboard, but this could almost certainly be shimmed from above, an these open joints seem to have no effect on the sound anyway.
Good news that the pedal leg is present; it just needs a new foot piece and a rod. One caster is missing, but a suitable contemporary replacement is included. It has been registered for exemption in accordance with the UK Ivory Act 2018 76GJS6XC.
The piano is in the Oakham area of Rutland; the price is £400 (near offers considered). Please contact Steve Jones craneho@mail.com
