Broadwood 1830

This Broadwood is number 38780, dated to 1830,  around the time when the fashion changed from six legs to four.  Good to see that it has retained its pedal.

The condition of the case, nameboard, and ivories is good.

It was restored in the 1990s; we see new strings, hammer coverings and damper cloths.

One hammer is reported to be detached and in need of a new leather hinge.  All the strings are present.

It stands at A415; a tuning hammer is included.  In compliance with the UK Ivory Act 2018 the exemption code is GU8UPCQE.  The piano is in Birmingham; the price is £750.  Please contact Martin Perkins
