Michael Thomas 'Ruckers' c. 1970

This very practical harpsichord by the well-known twentieth-century maker Michael Thomas is based on originals made by the Ruckers dynasty, and was made c. 1970.

Bought some years ago from Peter Barnes, and recently refreshed by Daniel Flew with new strings and quill plectra.

8' + 4', tuned to A415 but will go to A440 if required.   Tuning key included.   Lovely full sound, but not overpowering.  Length 212 cm.

The harpsichord is in Cheltenham; the price is £3,500 or near offer.
