This elegant clavichord by Morley of London is the less common five-octave instrument with GG - g3 compass; most of those offered for sale are four octaves C - d3.
It stands on a simple classical trestle, which personally I prefer to the more common screw-in turned legs.
This clavichord is in the Sheffield area; the price is £3,000
As a post-1947 (but pre-1975) instrument, its ivory sharp-tops require both a CITES Article 10 certificate to verify that the ivory was legally obtained, and the more recent exemption under the UK Ivory Act 2018, The codes for these are respectively 24GBA10FHBMN8 and QJZ7AXFP.
