This Regency Tomkison is number 5272. We see a very handsome mahogany case, and it's good to see that the pedal has survived - these are so often lost when a piano falls out of use.
Beautiful brass inlay on the rosewood nameboard. The calligraphy is somewhat worn, but enough remains to admit of improvement with careful retouching.
Internally, it does require a considerable amount of work. Some loose parts are in the box, but we believe that some hammers are missing. The full set of wrestpins appear to be original.
The bridge appears to be good, but the soundboard does need to be removed and rebuilt.
As the piano is offered as an unconditional gift, there is no requirement for registration under the UK Ivory Act 2018.
It is in New Malden, Surrey.
