Tomkison c. 1818

This elegant piano by the Royal maker Thomas Tomkison is number 4670, dating it to c. 1818. The mahogany case is cross-banded, and further embellished with ormolu brass embellishments around the edge, the drawer-fronts, and the turned legs.  Note the single pedal to operate the damper-lift.

It has been carefully and authentically restored, and remains in good condition.  Until fairly recently it has been regularly played by a talented amateur pianst.

The action, strings, bridge, and soundboard look good.
