The seller writes:
Square piano made by Thomas Tomkison c.
1812, serial number 3476. Mahogany case with ebony
stringing, 1700mm by 648mm by803mm tall, with six turned legs
and a seventh leg for a damper pedal. Keyboard of 5½
octaves (68 keys, FF to c4) of ivory and ebony. Nameboard of satinwood veneer with fretwork at each end and a paper label: "Thomas Tomkison, Dean Street, Soho, Manufacturer to His Royal Highness the Prince Regent". Case in excellent condition, but the frame has had to be straightened and the action needs much attention including new
leather hinges, new action cloths, new strings (the old
strings are available for comparison) and a new pedal
mechanism for the dampers. Offers please.
